Abbey Laboratories iMEC with TAPE — Oral Broad Spectrum Wormer & Boticide for Horses

iMEC with TAPE is an oral broad spectrum antiparasitic paste for horses, combining ivermectin and praziquantel to address a wide range of internal and external parasites in a single treatment.

Parasites treated

• Intestinal roundworms, including larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris in intestinal arteries
• Benzimidazole-resistant strongyles
• Lungworms
• Tapeworms
• Bots
• Skin lesions caused by Habronema and Draschia spp. (summer sores)
• Onchocerca spp. microfilariae (cutaneous onchocerciasis)

Dosing information

• Recommended dose: 200 µg ivermectin/kg and 1 mg/kg praziquantel liveweight
• One 7.74 g syringe treats one horse up to 600 kg liveweight
• Each weight marking on the syringe plunger delivers 1.29 g of paste, sufficient for 100 kg liveweight

How to administer

1. Unlock the knurled ring with a quarter-turn to the left, slide it to the prescribed weight marking, then lock with a quarter-turn to the right.
2. Remove the plastic cap from the nozzle tip.
3. Ensure the horse's mouth contains no feed.
4. Insert the syringe into the side of the horse's mouth in the gap between the front and back teeth.
5. Advance the plunger fully to deposit the paste on the rear of the tongue.
6. Immediately raise the horse's head for a few seconds to ensure the full dose is swallowed.

Important: Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
