Designed to be gentle on your dog's coat, the Herm Sprenger Fur Saver works by spreading collar pressure across a series of flat surfaces rather than contracting like a rope — the way a standard choke collar does. The shorter links sit closer to the fur, giving the collar a more flexible action while still protecting the coat, making it suitable for both long and short-haired dogs.
The 4mm gauge is sturdy enough for small to larger dogs, and the black stainless steel construction gives it a clean, understated look.

Sizing & Fit
Because this collar has no adjustable buckle and cannot be separated like a prong collar, it must slip over your dog's head. We recommend taking two measurements before ordering:
- Neck circumference — measure around the neck where the collar will sit.
- Over-the-head measurement — measure from under the chin, up and over the ears, and back to under the chin.
Choose a collar that is at least 5cm (roughly 2 inches) longer than your neck measurement. If your dog already wears a slip or choke collar, lay it flat and measure end to end to find a comparable length.
