The Gentle Leader Head Collar from Beau Pets is a practical training tool designed to give you calm, comfortable control on the lead. Two soft nylon straps work together — a collar portion that sits high at the top of the neck, and a nose loop that fits loosely across the base of the muzzle — to help reduce pulling, lunging, jumping, and unwanted barking.

Important: The Gentle Leader Head Collar is not a muzzle. When fitted correctly, your dog can eat, drink, pant, fetch, and bark freely.

Sizing Guide

Choose your size based on your dog's adult body weight. Note that breeds with particularly large or small heads may need a size up or down from the weight guide.

• Small – Adult weight 5–10 kg. Suits narrow or small muzzles. Examples: Toy Poodle, Dachshund, Shih-Tzu, Bichon, Pomeranian, Jack Russell, Beagle.
• Medium – Adult weight 10–27 kg, or small dogs with a broad muzzle. Examples: Cocker Spaniel, Collie, Kelpie, Blue Heeler, Australian Shepherd, Samoyed.
• Large – Adult weight over 30 kg, or some dogs under 30 kg with larger heads. Examples: Labrador, Golden Retriever, German Shepherd, Rottweiler, Mastiff, Great Dane.
• X-Large – Adult weight over 55 kg. Suits giant breeds and oversized or large-headed dogs.

Puppy Sizing Notes

• Medium and large breed puppies can start in a Medium from 8–10 weeks, wearing it until they reach 30 kg.
• Large breed puppies already over 20 kg should begin with a Large.
