Herm Sprenger's Curogan check collar is made for dogs that develop fur discolouration when wearing standard chains. Curogan is a nickel-free alloy with a high copper content, and for over 90% of dogs prone to this kind of reaction it makes an excellent alternative. The warm, golden tone of the chain deepens naturally with use, giving it a distinctive look alongside its practical benefits.

Each collar is produced in Germany, and every ring and swivel is stamped with the HS-Germany quality mark so you can confirm the origin at a glance. The round link, 3 mm gauge chain is suited to a wide range of dog training, showing, sporting, hunting, and working applications.

Because the copper content is higher than in standard chains, there is a degree of material abrasion over time. Herm Sprenger advises carrying out a visual check of the chain periodically to make sure it remains in good condition.

Fitting guide

This collar has no separating link and no buckle — it must slide over your dog's head to fit. To find the right size, measure your dog's neck circumference, then also measure from under the chin, up and over the head and ears, and back to under the chin. Choose a collar length that is at least 5 cm (roughly 2 inches) longer than your neck measurement. If your dog already wears a slip or choke collar, lay it flat and measure end to end to use as a guide.
